  5. @ dolphin,
:) i hear you....i thought as much too, as a child. nowadays, its more of a mantra i whisper to myself, when life is'nt going right! C'mon, life is BIIGG!! get out of your rat-holish rut already!!
the picture gives the impression that our man has hand-picked everyone of the little woolly cotton-buds, and is catching a shut-eye after a productive afternoon. yeah, it sure represents hardwork, confidence, freedom, satisfaction, CONTENTMENT !

  6. @ vijayshryaln,
no, that's not my handiwork....it would be a tad difficult to be at a cotton-field at the ivory-coast in africa, unless i'm a natgeo photographer...;)
a friend had forwarded it. no, he's not a natgeo photographer either!

  7. haha, things i'm dealing with currently is wholesome shit and you ask me to get away the rut! hopefully i do ;)
you've mentioned 'contentment'. very important quality that most people from modern world fail to acknowledge or experience. how ironic that we're expected to achieve, dream big and yet be content with what we've achieved!

also, do acknowledge the photographer before any blogger points you out ;) i'm sure you must've forgotten!

hmm. "how ironic that we're expected to achieve, dream big and yet be content with what we've achieved!"
i really don't think being content with what we've acheived so far means we cannot dream some more, and strive for yet another goal. besides, what is contentment really? its a state of mind. state keeping changing. for me its a feeling of satisfation after contributing my energies to a task at hand. even something as small is scrubbing the bathroom floor. how awesome to see super-white tiles after the deed is done!! its like a dope, man!! i'm mighty pleased with myself.
slogging a whole afternoon to bake the perfect batch of brownies, so that we all can have those yummy, warm slices after dinner, aah!! that's contentment!

i don't know who the photographer is, but the very fact that the pic is on my blog is homage to the chappie!

"what is contentment really? its a state of mind." i believed contentment is sense of satisfaction of doing a work forget excellence! i believe excellence doesn't really matter because in all the works we do, there are glitches left behind. and as far as contentment is considered, what you've said is right... eating my hand cooked food after 2 hour long battle in kitchen is surely a great sigh of relief and contentment!
